GOLD COAST GANG
Gold Coast Gang was founded in 2011 by a small group of young men from Chicago's far South Side. The original philosophy was about young people striving to overcome negativity & creating opportunities for themselves. The Gold Coast area & a few notable spots such as: Michigan Avenue, Wells Street, Rush Street, Millennium Park, the now-defunct RL Rugby store, eventually became the hub for the leisure activities that helped them stay out trouble. Shopping, girl hopping, & taking care of business were the main focus. With some members pursuing school & the others working jobs they hated, something had to give. The thirst to break free from a mundane life became more urgent than before & history was about to be made. Some of them reawakened their passion in music, others in art but the thread that connected them all was their love for fashion. They injected themselves right into the Chicago streetwear market with their 1st release. From then on they were on the right path to distancing themselves from any doubt in their past. Years have passed now & not only have their paths converged once again, its for the better.
